I build and reason about large-scale distributed systems. Over 20+ years I've moved between Silicon Valley industry and academic research, co-designing the distributed storage behind Google Workspace, leading Alexa backend and mobile integration at Amazon Lab126, and building platform and storage systems at Nutanix and VMware, alongside a Ph.D. and a tenured professorship in Mobile & Distributed Systems. My work centers on distributed and cloud systems, serverless and edge-cloud architecture, compilers and runtime systems, and computer architecture, backed by several U.S. patents and an AWS Solutions Architect certification.
Now based in Austin, TX, I'm available for select consulting, technical advisory, and fractional engineering engagements.
